Who are we?
Caldicot RC Racers is an indoor off-road radio-controlled car racing club based in
Caerwent Community Centre, near Chepstow in South Wales.
The club has been running for over 30 years and has a strong mix of racers, from juniors
and first-time drivers through to experienced club, regional and national competitors.
We aim to keep the club friendly, helpful and competitive, so whether you are chasing lap
times or just learning how race nights work, there should be someone around to help.
What do we race?
Our main classes are 2WD and 4WD 1/10 electric off-road
buggies. The cars race on carpet using wooden jumps, bumps and track features.
Layouts change regularly because the track is built and packed away each week, keeping
race nights fresh and varied.
How does a race night work?
A typical club night includes timed practice, qualifying rounds and a final for every driver.
We normally aim to finish racing by around 11pm so the hall can be cleared afterwards.
Everyone helps by marshalling after their race and, where possible, lending a hand with
setup and pack-away.
Built by racers, for racers
The club is run by a small volunteer committee with experience across club, regional and
national racing. The aim is simple: provide close, enjoyable and well-organised racing for
all levels of driver.
Changing layouts
Fresh carpet tracks and features each week.
Lap timing
AMB/MyLaps compatible timing using personal transponders.
Friendly advice
Setup help and race-night guidance available from regular racers.
